Ellis Brigham
Second Life, Same Standard
One of our favourite projects to date, not because of scale or budget, but because of the challenge: reuse what already exists, and make it feel entirely new.
The Ellis Brigham Keswick store gave LEAP the opportunity to prove that smart design doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. It was technically complex, creatively satisfying, and a huge win environmentally and economically.
Massive thanks to our friends at WDC Creative, and the brilliant Ellis Brigham crew for entrusting us with this one.
Working with Ellis Brigham and WDC, we reused around half the fixtures, refreshing them with new finishes and natural materials. Key zones—like footwear and backpacks — were newly designed, tied together with clever details such as genuine climbing rope.
The store feels brand new, delivered at 35–40% lower cost and with major carbon savings. Fixtures gained a second life of 8–10 years, the fit out was completed in half the usual time.
